Kimberly Kayler, CPSM | President
Building on almost 25 years serving technical industries in an organizational, strategy and marketing role, Kimberly leads the AOE team and our service offerings. Her experiences as the owner of a marketing agency for 16 years, as well as several years in corporate communications and business development for a nationally-ranked engineering firm, provide her with the perfect mix of industry and consulting experience to meet AOE client needs. In her role at AOE, she ensures best practices are applied to the delivery of all services, the establishment and monitoring of return on investment, as well as service and talent development.
Mark Campo | Director, Certification Services
Enhancing technical accuracy and operational efficiency within the certification services department since 2005, Mark directs the technical and operational activities of more than 20 widely-varied certification programs, offered in multiple languages and administered around the world. The department uses customized software for processing certification exams and recordkeeping, resulting in a high level of automation and accuracy. The certification services team brings extensive expertise in all areas of certification program operations—program development, exam design, psychometric evaluation of exam results and statistics, as well as in applying best practices and industry standards for administering certification programs.
Stacey Clement | Manager, Financial Services
Building on experience as an Assistant Controller, Stacey brings more than 20 years of experience in full service accounting including accounts payable, accounts receivable, budgeting, payroll, financial statement preparation and taxes. In her role at AOE, Stacey and her team serve as an outsourced accounting team for customers. The staff combines accounting best practices and enterprise level software to provide clients a high level of confidence and transparency in their financial results.
Claire Hiltz | Manager, Educational Services
With more than 20 years of experience as an instructional designer and course developer working with learning management systems and eLearning authoring tools, Claire also has experience in web development, graphic design and video editing software. Her team collaborates with subject matter experts to design and develop educational documents and online courses as well as coordinate the delivery of live webinars and classroom-based seminars. Services extend to video editing for recorded presentations used in online learning products, instructional design and development of online courses using a SCORM-compliant authoring tool (Articulate Storyline), learning management system (LMS) setup and administration, as well as issuance of digital badges and certificates for PDH credit.
Lauren Mentz | Director, Event and Publishing Services
A Certified Meeting Professional, Lauren oversees a team of event planners responsible for execution of more than 150 conventions, seminars, meetings and other special events per year. Her expertise includes site selection, contract negotiation, planning, building revenue at events through exhibits and sponsorships, as well as leading diverse teams. She has experience in events big and small for associations and corporations. Under Lauren's leadership, the Event Services team will assist with services ranging from strategy and planning to theme, logistics, facility and/or vendor negotiation and coordination, speaker and volunteer organization, wayfinding, registration, and on-site management. Lauren also leads the Publishing Services team with broad production responsibility for design and production of several association magazines as well as their collateral, electronic marketing tactics and more. .
Amy Numbers | Senior Manager of Operations, Marketing Services
With more than two decades of experience in administrative and operational roles, Amy helps develop and guide processes to ensure smooth delivery of services for AOE. She has contract administration, logistics, accounting and team development expertise — all roles she fills for the AOE team. She also leads the client onboarding and advocate process, and is responsible for the development and oversight of return on investment reporting for all AOE accounts.
Marcela Olson | Manager, Customer Services
Marcela’s 15+ years of front-line service experience and strong operational background provides a solid anchor to the customer service team. She brings a practical, no-nonsense approach that balances expectations and deliverable, having worked with AOE clients to set-up and implement more efficient AMS and procedures. Under her leadership, Marcela’s team collaborates closely with accounting, IT and the web development functions to ensure an excellent customer experience. Her customer service team has experience in membership management, subscription fulfillment and publication order. Whether is on the phone, email or chat, Marcela and her team are ready to take on all challenges.
Jason Pennington | Manager, Technology Services
With more than 20 years of information systems experience, Jason works with clients to plan and execute seamless transition and management of computer systems and data resources. He is known for his expertise in providing information systems infrastructure based on best practices for security, reliability and disaster recovery. Service areas include network infrastructure, file servers, cloud computing, personal computers, tablets, office suites, shipping and order fulfilment, as well as accounting and association management systems. He also leads the warehouse and order fulfillment services function of AOE.
Steve Szoke, P.E., F.ACI, F.ASCE, F.SEI, LEED/AP, CSI-CDT | Manager, Outreach & Advocacy
A registered professional engineer, Steve has an extensive history in the advancement of technology, development of codes and standards, as well as strategies to effectively implement related industry programs. In addition to code advocacy leadership, he has in-depth technical experience related to energy conservation, fire protection, sustainability and resiliency. He is also familiar with product standards and specifications and is a Construction Specifications Institute Construction Document Technologist. As your partner, Steve and his team will assist you with developing and/or responding to the codes, standards and specifications of today and tomorrow, as well as provide general engineering counsel.
