In April of 2026, President Kimberly Kayler and Director of Association Management Services Bryce Barker were in Chicago for a series of activities at the American Concrete Institute Convention, including the Concrete Foundations Association board meeting and the Slag Cement Association Sustainability Awards.

A highlight was seeing the future of the concrete industry in action. During the ACIF donor reception, Kimberly reconnected with last year’s AOE Fellowship recipient, Kate Connor, a senior in the Concrete Industry Management (CIM) program at South Dakota State University. We are incredibly proud of Kate and her continued commitment to the industry.

AOE remains dedicated to reinvesting in the markets we serve. The AOE Fellowship is just one example of how we support emerging professionals—providing an educational stipend to undergraduate or graduate students pursuing a CIM degree.

Concrete Industry Management (CIM) National Steering Committee

“The 2025 Concrete Industry Management (CIM) Auction at World of Concrete shattered all previous records! Our partners at AOE were essential in helping the National Steering Committee promote the Auction. For more than 17 years, we’ve counted on AOE to help support our public relations, social media and marketing efforts to promote the Auction and the CIM program. The AOE team was, and continues to be, an important part of our success.
