AOE strategic planning workshop with chapter executives sharpens leadership and facilitation skills

At the ACPA Chapter/State Committee Mid-Year Meeting in Lexington, Ky., state chapter executives gathered for a three-hour strategic planning workshop led by Drew Burns, AOE’s Director of Client Strategy.

The session walked attendees through the core elements of an effective strategic plan, including mission, vision, goals, objectives, tactics and metrics. Drew also covered stakeholder engagement, data collection, KPI development and facilitation techniques for productive board discussions. Participants also took part in interactive activities focused on common planning pitfalls, disruptive participant archetypes and practical ways to address them.
